Sixth Form Transition Tasks

At Oaks Park Sixth Form, we recognise that the transition from GCSE to A Level study is a significant step. We place a strong emphasis on supporting students throughout this journey, helping them develop the skills and habits needed to succeed in a more independent learning environment.

These preparatory activities are designed to begin that process. By completing them before Taster Day, you will start to develop the independent study skills that are essential for success at A Level. This approach allows lesson time to be maximised for high-quality learning, discussion, and subject exploration.

Our focus on independent learning has been a key factor in helping Oaks Park Sixth Form students achieve outstanding outcomes year after year, and we are excited to support you as you begin your A Level journey.
