Year 9-11 Barcelona Trip: A Memorable Experience
During May half-term, 41 students from Years 9 to 11 embarked on an unforgettable five-day adventure in Barcelona. The trip, funded by the government's Turing Scheme, provided a wonderful opportunity to explore renowned landmarks such as La Sagrada Familia, Las Ramblas, Montjuic, and the Gothic Quarter.
Students enjoyed two fantastic afternoons at the beach, playing sports and swimming in the Mediterranean Sea. They also savoured local cuisine, took a scenic cable car ride from Montjuic to the seaside, and visited a Spanish school to compare educational systems and connect with local students.
On the final evening, students received awards for skills developed during the trip, including problem-solving, communication, and positivity. The experience not only enhanced cultural awareness but also fostered new friendships and unforgettable memories.
