Sports Awards 2023

On Monday 18th July we marked the end of another sporting year with our Sports Awards Evening. The event also served as a platform to recognise and honour the outstanding accomplishments of our talented students across various sports disciplines. From athletics to football, cricket to netball, we celebrated the remarkable dedication and triumphs of our athletes throughout the year. This year we also marked the achievement of students who have attained the Duke of Edinburgh Award at Oaks Park.

Guest speaker on the evening was former professional cyclist Alex Dowsett. Alex competed in prestigious races like the Tour de France and winning stages of the Giro d'Italia. In 2015, he achieved a momentous feat by setting a new hour record, covering a distance of 52.937 kilometers. Alex shared his experiences, wisdom, and motivation, inspiring students to push their boundaries and strive to do their best.

The evening was a fantastic celebration of the year's sporting endeavours and we look forward to seeing the progress that students make in the years to come.
