Globe Players Performances
The Globe Players came to Oaks Park on Friday afternoon to perform a compilation of Shakespeare's most famous plays.
The Year 7s watched ‘What You Will’ which was an introduction to the canonical plays that students will study throughout their English learning journey. As the Year 7s are currently studying ‘Twelfth Night’, this was the perfect opportunity for students to engage with Shakespeare's comedic characters and be entertained by the wit of the Bard!
The Year 10s were enthralled by the ‘Macbeth’ performance: it included key scenes from ‘Macbeth’ and explanations of how the characters engage with themes and dramatic conventions throughout, leaving students with the valuable knowledge and understanding of the play. This experience was hailed as ‘unforgettable’ and ‘interesting’ for many students as they were able to watch the very play they have been studying this term for their GCSEs.
