Students achieve outstanding GCSE results!

Oaks Park High School - GCSE Results 2021

Oaks Park High School students and staff are celebrating another fantastic set of GCSE results. Students have overcome significant obstacles throughout the year and these results are a testament to the hard work of students and staff who have remained committed to achieving their absolute best. The results mean that many of our students will progress to their desired courses at Oaks Park Sixth Form.

Students worked extremely hard throughout two lockdowns and the  results today demonstrate the high levels of engagement with remote learning, and the outstanding effort on behalf of the staff to make it all possible.

Pastoral Leader Umar Iqbal said, ‘I am extremely proud of what our students have achieved. They maintained their focus throughout the year and are fully deserving of the grades that they have received today.’

A special mention must go to Yusuf Ahmed-Khan who achieved 9s across the board and will go on to study English, Economics and Religious Studies at Oaks Park Sixth Form. This was an outstanding effort and is just one example of the many individual success stories from the cohort.

Headteacher Joanne Hamill put the excellent outcomes down to the combined effort and  excellent working relationships between students, staff and parents at Oaks Park High School. “It is great to see our students be able to progress onto the pathways to which they have aspired and they should be proud of these results as we all are. I am very grateful to all our hardworking and committed colleagues who have inspired and encouraged students to achieve their very best despite the incredible context of the pandemic.’

Enrolment for the Sixth Form has been taking place this morning.  Once again the Sixth Form has been oversubscribed with applications. Many students have enrolled already this morning and will continue Thursday afternoon and Friday morning for external applicants.
