Friday 21 July 2023 LAMDA Showcase 2023 The LAMDA Showcase Event brought together a diverse range of performers, each showcasing their unique abilities and artistic prowess. From gripping monologues to captivating 2 part performances, the students demonstrated their progress and dedication to improving their craft.

Tuesday 18 July 2023 Sports Awards 2023 On Monday 18th July we marked the end of another sporting year with our Sports Awards Evening. The event also served as a platform to recognise and honour the outstanding accomplishments of our talented students across various sports disciplines. From athletics to football, cricket to netball, we celebrated the remarkable dedication and triumphs of our athletes throughout the year. This year we also marked the achievement of students who have attained the Duke of Edinburgh Award at Oaks Park.

Tuesday 2 May 2023 Cultural Dress Day 2023 Students and staff were given the opportunity to express their culture through clothing and on the day we had an array of colourful, diverse and beautiful cultural dress. It was an amazing spectacle and a fantastic way to finish off Culture Awareness Week.

Thursday 25 August 2022 GCSE Results Day 2022 Oaks Park High School students and staff are celebrating a wonderful set of GCSEresults. Their achievement is testimony to the way that the year group have risen to the challenge of the return of public examinations and maintained focus and ambition throughout, despite the disruption to their studies caused by the pandemic. The outcomes reflected excellent progression for the pupils, for example, English achieved 85% grades 9-4, Maths 80% grades 9-4 and the majority of qualifications were above national average.

Monday 18 July 2022 GCSE Geography Trip: Norfolk July 2022 After a two year break, Y10 geographers were once again able to travel to Norfolk for their GCSE residential fieldwork trip. Over two trips, 180 students investigated how Norwich city has changed over time before heading to the University of East Anglia. Students then had tours of the university by the student ambassadors visiting the robotics labs as well as the Art School. This is also where the Avengers was filmed! Students were able to ask questions about student life and higher education before spending the night in the university halls.

Thursday 14 July 2022 Sports Awards 2022 On a warm July evening. students, parents and staff gathered under our basketball canopy to celebrate the year's sporting achievements. Our guest of honour was London Pulse and former England international netballer Lindsay Keable. Lindsay awarded the prizes and spoke on the evening about her sporting journey and the effort and ressilience that is required in sporting persuits as in life. It was a great evening and testament to the commitment that students have shown this year and the dedicated organisation of the PE Department.

Thursday 14 July 2022 Year 11 Prom 2022 On the 6th July students and staff gathered at the Prince Regent Hotel for Year 11's Prom. It was fantastic evening, celebrating the end of year 11 and the fact that GCSE exams were now over. Having not been able to hold a prom for the last two years the event was a welcome return. Students had a great evening, were dressed in style and took to the dancefloor with panache. Well done to the organising committee for all their hard work in putting the event together.

Thursday 14 July 2022 Sports Day 2022 Our annual Sports Day event took place on 4th July this year. Years 7, 8 and 9 competed in form groups in both track and field events. Competitors were not put off by the warm conditions and put in a great deal of effort to events on the day. While the winners took medals on the day, a huge congratulations must go to all the students that took part and those who got into the spirit and cheered their form members on from the sidelines.

Monday 20 June 2022 Arts Festival Thursday 23rd June 2022 We are delighted to announce the date of our first Arts Festival. We look forward to welcoming you for an evening to celebrate the creativity of our students here at Oaks Park High School. The festival will begin at 4pm and will include an exhibition of art and art photography, along with open air drama and music performances throughout the evening.

Monday 11 October 2021 Open Evening 2021 On Thursday 7th October, it was with great pleasure that we welcomed prospective Oaks Park students and their families into our school once again to experience our school in person. The evening was a huge success with a high number of visitors attending the evening and getting to see first-hand a fantastic representation of what makes our school so special.

Tuesday 20 July 2021 Oaks Park Culture Awareness Week A number of Year 12 students who were keen to promote diversity within our school and to raise money for a humanitarian charity, decided to plan a Culture Week at Oaks Park High School. The students put together an initial proposal and worked closely with the Headteacher and key members of staff to formulate a plan for the week. This culture event took place from Monday 12th to Friday 16th July 2021.

Tuesday 20 July 2021 Year 11 Celebration Event 2021 While restrictions would not permit a year 11 prom this year, students were not detered from coming together to celebrate the end of their time in year 11.

Tuesday 20 July 2021 Anne Frank Trust Showcase Event 2021 On July 19th our 10 Anne Frank Ambassadors were invited to attend an online celebration event to showcase the incredible work they have created to supporters and members of the Anne Frank Trust all over the world. Hosted by Tim Robertson MBE, three of the Ambassadors (Sanya, Khanak and Yasmin) were interviewed live to discuss their work and talk about the video they had produced as a way to keep Anne's message alive and to educate their peers on ways everyone can be a little kinder. The Cape Town Genocide Centre and Daniel Mendoza OBE noted how powerful the video was and how impressed they were at the amazing work of Oaks Park Anne Frank Ambassadors, concluding that "Anne would certainly be proud". They look forward to working with the Ambassadors and Oaks Park over the coming academic year in further exciting opportunities to help them fulfill Anne's dream of a world free of discrimination.

Tuesday 13 July 2021 Music Department Virtual Concert 2021 The Music Department are proud to present some fantastic performances from our talented students. Unfortunately they were not able to perform to a live audiance as usual, but they are able to demonstrate the results of their hard work and showcase the progress that they have made throughout the year in this recorded event.

Friday 9 July 2021 Year 7 & 8 Sports Day 2021 Despite the disruption to sport throughout this year we were able to run Sports Day for Years 7 and 8 on Wednesday 23rd June and Thursday 1st July. Firstly the field events took place on the wednesday where students competed in Javelin, Shot Putt, Discus, High Jump Triple Jump and Long Jump. The events were all hotly contested, particularly with Year 8 where the form scores were all within 11 points leading into the track events on Thursday. Some stand out Year 8 performers were Ellis McMillan who jumped 1.50m in the high jump, Mohammed Bilal who threw 7.70m in the shot putt, Hadley Webster who jumped 3.49m in the long jump and Alexandra Cartin who jumped 5.32m in the triple jump. Year 7 also had some excellent performances including Sabian Leonce who threw 6.09m in the shot putt, Lauren Burton and Malik Alabede who jumped 5.82m and 5.98m in the long jump, and Sade Ajiga who jumped 1.28m in the high jump.
