Miss Davda Recipient of Jack Petchey Leader Award

Jack Petchey Awards Scheme | Abbs Cross

The Jack Petchey Foundation Leader Awards scheme highlights and recognises the incredible commitment of adults who work in schools and are dedicated to supporting young people.

They go above and beyond to ensure that students receive excellent support and are able to inspire and motivate students to go the extra mile. The awards give others the chance to say ‘thank you’ to these incredible adults!

Miss Davda has been awarded the Jack Petchey Leader award for her transformational leadership of developing our use of Google Classroom as a learning and communication platform.  She has coordinated the whole school roll out since 2016, and has led on whole staff training, student training and has inspired many colleagues to complete a qualification to become certified Google Educators.

During lockdown, Miss Davda's infrastructure work to deliver Google Classroom enabled the school to quickly move to the online platform and ensure that we were delivering our responsibilities as a school in an efficient and accessible manner.  Her determination to ensure our students leave Oaks Park being fully proficient in using technology in a future forward fashion, has inspired many of them to follow her footsteps and study IT and computer science at university.  Miss Davda has incredible patience and works very hard to support others, she is a team player whilst also being a trailblazer for how schools can utilise technology to support our teaching and learning aims.

Miss Davda's impact is evident in every classroom and office across the school.
