GCSE Results Day 2024

Oaks Park High School is proud to announce exceptional GCSE results for 2024, marking another year of academic excellence and student achievement. Our students have demonstrated remarkable resilience and dedication, resulting in record-breaking performances across multiple subjects.

 

These results include 81% of GCSE grades at a grade 4 or above and 35% at grade 7 and above, alongside a substantial narrowing of the achievement gap for disadvantaged students, outstanding progress for SEND students and an overall progress measure which is significantly exceeding the national average. These achievements have provided an excellent foundation for students to progress to their chosen qualifications in Oaks Park’s Sixth Form. 

There were some outstanding individual performances across the cohort including:

  • Manahil Uddin - Nine grade 9s and one grade 8
  • Yusra Mokaddus - Eight grade 9s , one grade 8 and a Distinction*
  • Safwaan Shareef - Eight grade 9s one grade 8 and a grade 7
  • Muhammad Khan -  Seven grade 9s, one grade 8 and a grade 7
  • Sanya Kanwar - Six grade 9s, two grade 8s and a grade 7
  • Jennah Khaliq -  Six grade 9s, three grade 8s and a grade 7
  • Anasha Malik - Six grade 9s, three grade 8s and a grade 7

Joanne Hamill, Headteacher, commented: "These outstanding results reflect the collective efforts of our students, staff, governors and parents. Our students' achievements are a source of immense pride for all of us at Oaks Park. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated staff for their unwavering support and inspiration, enabling our students to reach their full potential."

Chair of the Governors, Mohamed Omer, stated, "We are immensely proud of our students' achievements this year. Their hard work and determination, coupled with the dedication of our staff, have created a vibrant learning community. We look forward to continuing our support as they embark on their next academic journey."

Enrolment for the Sixth Form has been taking place this morning with the vast majority of Oaks Park students achieving the entry requirements to enrol on the courses of their choice. Enrolment for external students is now underway, and we look forward to welcoming a strong cohort from the local community to begin their academic journey at the outstanding Oaks Park Sixth Form.
