Destinations Data 2020
At Oaks Park High School we put considerable emphasis on ensuring that all students have access to high quality careers information, advice and guidance to ensure that they are able to be fully informed about different industries and to enable them to have an informed opinion about next steps and destinations. Our goal is to ensure that all students have high aspirations and the capacity to move onto the destination of their choice.
As a school, we regularly use destinations data to evaluate the careers programme and ensure that we are meeting the individual needs of all students at the school. We have recently received the most up to date data from the London Borough of Redbridge with regards to our Year 11 students who completed their Level 2 study with us in 2020. We are pleased to state that 98% of our Year 11 students in 2020 are currently in either education, employment or training at either a Sixth Form, Further Education College or through an apprenticeship route. This number is an excellent achievement from our students, and is well above the national average of 94% of students being in Post-16 education.
The data shows that our students are moving on to study a wide variety of different subjects, including construction, ICT systems and business management. The diversity of the choices that students have moved onto is testament to the students dedication to exploring different careers areas and highlights the emphasis that the school places on ensuring that students have a wealth of information about the labour market and different educations options at their disposal to ensure that they can make informed decisions about their destinations.
Congratulations to all of the students for their hard work in obtaining these places.
