Deaf Provision

Oaks Park Deaf Students Provision supports deaf students who use sign language to access their learning in school.  Oaks Park Deaf Provision is a Bilingual Provision, which means that British Sign Language is offered to support the students’ learning.

At Oaks Park High, we are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for all students. Our dedicated team includes a qualified teacher of the deaf who works closely with students to develop their communication skills and ensure they have access to the curriculum. This specialist support is vital in fostering a positive learning experience for every child.

Oaks Park can meet the needs of deaf students who:

  • Are deaf (severely to profoundly deaf - students who have moderate to severe deafness and use sign language can attend the provision)
  • Use Sign Language
  • Need Sign Language to be able to access what is being said in class

Deaf students who cannot sufficiently access their learning without sign language would have their needs met at Caterham High School Deaf Students Provision.
