These are the Head Student’s acceptance speeches
“My name is Rhiya Lall (12E) and I am honoured and proud to accept the position of Head Student at Oaks Park. The school and teachers have nurtured me for over five years, and I am ecstatic that I now have to opportunity to give back.
With many young people feeling the pressure to perform well in exams, I want to make sure we, as a school, remain conscientious about mental health. I have also committed myself to listening to fellow students’ suggestions as I believe it is my duty to ensure everyone’s happiness in school.
My final commitment is to bring students closer to *opportunities offered by Universities, apprenticeships and work placements by promoting the many established schemes within the school. I genuinely have always aspired for this position and so cannot wait to make a positive impact.”
“My name is Amay Makwana (12E), I am extremely privileged to be appointed head student at Oaks Park High School, and the role will enable me the opportunity to be the voice of the student body.
With this role I hope to give back to the school for all the skills and lessons that have been ingrained in me during my time here at Oaks Park. I wish to make the school life a better one by listening to students and staff and help bridge the gap between them.
I want to showcase all the excellent work that goes on at Oaks Park and for me to be a role model for others. As head student, I intend to leave my mark here at Oaks Park, for the benefit of future generations yet to experience the togetherness of our school.”
