Enterprising students make more profit for charity
Another week of profits made by our year 9 GCSE Business students, in memory of Mr Foster.
Amazing numbers of customers from year 7 upwards and many teachers came to the second and final day of trading for our Year 9 GCSE Business Enterprise Christmas market.
Many groups had sold out of their stock early and many groups report that they feel they have made excellent profits. A couple of well organised teams with excellent quality products and professional displays, look to be in the running for the ‘Entrepreneurs of the year’ award. Students will be finalising their accounts in the coming week and we will be able to identify the winning teams in terms of profits made for charity; and in terms of teamwork and entrepreneurship.
Students worked extremely well, not only on their two trading days but also on the run up to the event in terms of planning and preparation. Many thanks to some of our year 13 Business students who gave up their lunchtime to help today.
The Business department would like to congratulate all our students on the superb effort they have made this term on their projects.
